The Preson Gate Inn is a fantastic country pub in the heart of Poughill village, just outside of Bude.  Well known for its excellent food, music events and warm company, it’s a great place to just sit inside and enjoy a pint with its old building charm, or sit outside on a Summer’s evening and enjoy a few hours in good company.
Here’s what the Preston gate say about themselves:

• There are two wheelchair ramps into the building that go through the outdoor seating located at the back of the building. In the doorway there is a small bump to get over in order to enter the building.
• There are male and female toilets available for customers but there is no specific disabled toilet. They would love to put in a disabled toilet but can not due to the layout of their incredibly old building.
• The pub regularly holds special events such as its live acoustic music nights, which is brilliant for anyone who is a music lover.
• The Preston gate is a popular pub, which means that it can become incredibly busy and noisy when there are a lot of people around. Thankfully, with the extension of their seating area outside, it is possible to sit away from any large crowds where it’s much quieter.
• Food is served to your table so there’s no need to have to collect it from inside.
• The staff are friendly and welcoming and will help out in any way that they can to make your visit the best it can be.
• Because it’s a community focal point, the people who use the Preston gate are warm and welcoming and will do anything they can to make you feel like part of the family.
